The 19th and 20th of July two legends named Dottz and Khaysonn visited our community in Amsterdam. This plan was long overdue and when the time finally arrived, we were more than ready. Their journey in C-walk and Shuffle Dance results in the amazing and skilled dancers they are now. We were so excited to learn from them.
It was their first, but definitely not their last time visiting Amsterdam.
We kicked off the weekend with our regular Academy lesson on Friday evening and of course these two joined in for a good vibe. And we had a blast.
On Saturday you were able to find us meeting up at NDSM. Luckily we found a good spot in the shadow with this heat.
Then around 16:00 it was time for the masterclass to start. We took it slow as it was a very hot day. But we danced, learned and laughed a lot.
In class we learned the history of Dottz & Khaysonn their dance journey, how they met and the history of C-walk. Later, they showed us some amazing steps and it was time for us to practice it with them. And of course, end class with a gangster C-walk x Shuffle choreo.
To finish the weekend we had dinner at Foodhallen and had some good talks with drinks to reflect on these beautiful days.
